Message from the President
The SHRM Gateway Chapter (#575) was created to serve HR professionals in Jersey City, as well as the Hudson, Essex, and Union County areas. Our name, Gateway, is intentional—it represents an opening, a portal to transformation. We believe our chapter serves as just that: a gateway to your professional exploration and development.
Since 1998, the Gateway Chapter has been a vibrant, dynamic presence in the HR community. Much like Ellis Island served as a gateway to freedom, our chapter is a portal to professional growth—strategically located at the heart of a thriving region for corporate, financial, manufacturing, and service industries, between Newark, Northern New Jersey, and New York City.
Our mission is to empower HR professionals with the knowledge, skills, and resources needed for career advancement and to support the evolving needs of employers and workforces—locally and globally. As a 100% National SHRM Chapter, we proudly support our members through:
